Victims Support Fund Introduces Independent Evaluation of Projects

Victims Support Fund has initiated the external evaluation of its 2015 and 2016 programmes in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States. The objective is to independently assess the impact, efficacy and significance of the programmes implemented within the period. The outcomes of the assessment exercise will serve as a guide for the planning and execution of future programmes.

The evaluators who are working independently have also commenced the training of data collectors. The data collectors selected from the affected communities will proceed, after being trained to all project locations for data gathering.

The process will include key informant interviews, secondary data analysis, cost analysis and focus group discussions. At the end of the exercise, accountability of resources expended on projects, effectiveness, relevance, sustainability, as well as partnerships would have been evaluated and analysed. Recommendations and key findings proffered will help steer future programme development to ensure maximum and lasting impact is achieved.
