Victims Support Fund Commences Reconstruction of Buildings in Local Governments Destroyed By Conflicts in Benue State

Victims Support Fund (VSF), flagged-off the   reconstruction of public buildings affected by the herdsmen/farmers conflict in Guma, Agatu and Logo Local Government Areas of Benue State. The project will be executed in partnership with the Benue State Government with funds from VSF.

The Executive Director VSF Prof. Sunday Ochoche disclosed that the sum of over N700 million has been earmarked for the project. The funds are for the reconstruction and provision of 31 buildings and Hygiene facilities in the three Local Government Areas. The buildings to be reconstructed include five (5) Comprehensive Health Centres, twenty three (23) blocks of classrooms, and three (3) Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) Toilets

Victims Support Fund strives to continue working to provide succor to people affected by armed conflict. Other areas of intervention for VSF are facilitating access to education and providing psychosocial support to children, driving food security by providing input and machineries to small scale farmers empowering vulnerable women and strengthening the health system through support to hospitals.
