The Memorial Colloquium in honour of the departed Director General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission Engr. Chidi Izuwah held Monday, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Speaking at the solemn event, speaker after speaker poured encomiums on the Late DG for his industry, exceptional brilliance and dedication to the cause of the nation. Speaking at the event, Ag. Director General of the ICRC, Barrister Michael Ohiani expressed deep sadness at the passing of the departed DG. According to him, “It is not my wish to be doing this today, but circumstances have forced it on me.” He listed the many milestones achieved under his leadership to include the establishment of the Special Concession Account (SCA), the ICRC Disclosure Portal, several OBC/FBC Certificates among many others.
In his remarks, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation who was represented by Dr Maurice Mbaeri, permanent secretary, General service represented the SGF, praised the departed DG for his passion and hard work stressing that the big shoes he left behind will be hard to fill. Also speaking, the Head of Service of the Federation who was represented by Dr. Mrs. Evelyn Ngige, speaking along the same line, described the Late Engr.Chidi Izuwah as a champion of Nigeria’s infrastructure development.
Among the attendees at the event included the Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, Senator Theodore Orji, Hon. Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema, Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Water Resources, Suleiman Hussein Adamu, Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora, Managing Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, Suleiman Rafindadi, Managing Director of the NSIA, Uche Orji, among many others.
