Promote The Nigerian Culture For Sustainable Development – SSAP-SDGs

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs) Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has canvassed for the promotion of Nigerian culture to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SSAP made this known when she received members of “SaveAfricanHistory” initiative on courtesy call in her office in Abuja.

Princess Adefulire, who was represented by the Secretary of Program, Waziri Laminu, expressed OSSAP-SDGs’ readiness to partner with the group to attain the SDGs, pointing that Nigeria has a rich culture that is one of the best in the world, and implored that it should be properly harnessed to create wealth and bring about sustainable development. 

She said that Nigeria has all it takes to be great since we are blessed with abundant human and natural resources. These according to her, should be a source of strength, and should as well be seen as a potential presented to Nigeria which needs to be promoted for sustainable development.

In his presentation, the leader of the team, Obinali Egeli said the purpose of their visit is to seek for partnership so that together “we can, using Nigeria’s untold history of ingenuity and Africa’s $1tn SDGs market opportunity, captivate, challenge and inspire Nigerians to innovate to achieve the SDGs”.

“Save African History” is a global multi-stakeholder initiative that uses history country by country to mobilize the population both at home and abroad to achieve the SDGs.
