His Holiness Pope Francis has today, Wednesday 28thFebruary, raised the Apostolic Exarchate for the Maronite faithful to the Eparchy of the Annunciation, with See in Ibadan, and has appointed as first bishop Very Reverend Chorbishop Simon Faddoul.
Until his appointment, the new Bishop was the first Apostolic Exarch of the Maronite faithful in Central and West Africa and Apostolic Visitor to South Africa,installed on 6th April 2014.
Information about his episcopal ordination will be communicated later.
