Goodluck Nwadike, arrested for storing falsified and Substandard Tetanus Toxoid Vaccines.

Following intelligence report of the sale of falsified and substandard Tetanus vaccines by one Mr. Goodluck Nwadike of No. 2 Mallam Kato market in Sabon Gari, Kano State, a team of NAFDAC officials stormed the shop and arrested the culprit on the discovery of the said drugs.

The vaccines are meant to be stored in temperatures between 20C and 80C, in the refrigerator to keep its efficacy intact.

Among the drugs seized from the culprit are Tetanus vaccines Absorbed Dano, Tetanus Vaccines IP Other drugs found in his possession areTriamcinolone Acetone Injection, Artesunate injection and fenaart. The estimate of the drugs is over 1.5 million Naira.

On further interrogation, Mr. Nwadike revealed that he gets his supplies from Bridge Head market, Onitsha.

Tetanus Toxoid Vaccines are used as vaccines for treatment of tetanus infection.

The case is still on going and the drugs mopped up.
