FG Fetes Retired Permanent Secretaries

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita feted five retired Federal Permanent Secretaries in a cocktail party for their meritorious service to their fatherland on Saturday, 28th July, 2018 in Abuja. The event is part of the welfare policy of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita in her speech thanked the retired Permanent Secretaries for their decades of excellent service to the nation. She assured them that their footprints will forever remain indelible in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) they served.


The Head of Civil Service of the Federation buttressed the essence of the get together party as a way of creating bonding and friendship between the serving and the retired Permanent Secretaries for mutual benefits,
”It is also targeted at promoting social integration, friendship, camaraderie and good working relationship amongst colleagues who have agreed to come together to jointly handle some of our welfare needs; particularly, the ones not covered by the extant rules; and to also offer support and succour whenever the need arises” .


Speaking on behalf of the retired Permanent Secretaries at the occasion, Engr. Abubakar G. Magaji appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for the opportunity given to them to serve their fatherland and also enjoined his fellow retired Permanent Secretaries not to be redundant but to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the economic and political development of the nation.


The retired Permanent Secretaries are Engr. Abubakar G. Magaji; Mrs. Fatima B. Bamidele; Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi; Mr. Clement Uwaifo and Chief Osuji Ndubuisi Marcelinus . The event also witnessed the presentation of memoirs and gifts to the retirees.
