The Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack has charged Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Real Estate Developers to expedite efforts in providing quality and affordable houses for Federal Civil Servants in line with the 2017-2020 Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan.

The Permanent Secretary gave the charge during the meeting with FISH Real Estate Developers who have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Office. The meeting was held on Thursday, March 28th, 2019 in Abuja.

She disclosed that 31 Off-takers have already taken possession of their houses and the mortgages of about 428 profiled Off-takers are at different stages of processing. She added that the Office will consolidate on this success by working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure further progress on the programme.

Mrs. Walson-Jack said OHCSF is making efforts to have scheduled site visit by off-takers to the Estates under the supervision of FISH to afford them the opportunity to make informed decisions on their preferred Developers.

She stressed the need for cordial relationship between the Developers and Off-takers to avoid issues that will undermine the vision of FISH. She emphasized that any transaction entered by Developers and Off-takers should be in line with the rules of engagements as contained in the three FISH handbooks.

The Permanent Secretary also used the occasion to commend Messrs C2Q Nig. Ltd, AB Brainy Technocrats and FMBN and other key financial stakeholders for their active participation and contributions to the success of the launching of Kuje I & II Estates on 20th December, 2018.
